I found SSG Cruz through his family.  He is alive and well, living in Puerto Rico.  I have received a few emails from members of his family. Was glad to hear something about him.
2  Trooper Messages / M Company Message Board / Looking for someone on: March 25, 2013, 11:25:43 PM
I am trying to find anyone that remembers a SSG Sixto Cruz-Carrion.  He was assigned to M Company in March of 1969 and his name shows up on the 30 April 1969 M Company Roster. If anyone knows anything about him, please contact me at my email address; m11acr@live.com.
3  Trooper Messages / M Company Message Board / Re: Brown Stetsons? on: December 20, 2011, 05:17:45 PM
It is my understanding the Brown Stetsons are related to the date of organization for the 11th Cavalry.  They are called "The 1903 Campaign Hat" because that was what the regiment wore when it was organized in 1903.  You may be able to find more information at the Blackhorse Association website.
4  Trooper Messages / M Company Message Board / Names have not been added to Roster on: May 03, 2010, 11:36:47 PM
I have submitted the names of two men who were on  my tank (M34) in Vietnam and they have not been added to the Roster. SP4 Richard Blancarte (Driver) and PFC Patrick Loisel (Loader) were on my tank when it was hit at Soui Cat in May 1966.  Loisel died at the hospital and Blancarte had to be evacuated to the U.S. for advanced medical treatment.  Why have these two names not been added?
5  Trooper Messages / M Company Message Board / Add another name to roster on: February 11, 2010, 07:17:11 PM
I have noticed there is another name missing from the M Co Roster.  SP4 Robert Blancarte was the driver of M34 during the Ambush in May 1967.  He was seriously wounded and shipped back to the USA for treatment.  I noticed that PFC Patrick Loisel's name hasn't been added yet.  You have my name and SP4 Kerry Nelson listed but missed two other crew members.

7  Trooper Messages / M Company Message Board / Add name to Roster on: December 14, 2009, 02:51:47 AM
I was reviewing the M Co roster and noticed that PFC Patrick M. Loisel's name was missing.  He was the loader on my tank (M34) during the ambush of May 21, 1967.  He was KIA. He had been with M Co for only 3 weeks when he was killed. He was from California and was a month short of his 20th birthday when he died. Please add his nmae to the roster.

I was with 2nd Plt in March of '69. I was TC of M25. I was the Plt Sgt after the platoon was hit in March 69 (three tanks were lost).  I wish I had some pictures myself.  Maybe you can help me with a name.  I've been trying to remember the name of the Hispanic SSG that joined the plt while we were refitting at Long Binh just before we moved to FB Holiday Inn on Hwy 13.

I have been trying to find someone who remembers a Hispanic SSG that joined M Company in March of 1969.  He was on his second tour having previuosly served with the 1st Infantry Division.  He joined 2nd Platoon at Long Bihn after they were almost wiped out in March 1969.  I can't remember his name but he had the nicknames of "Rome Plow" and "Poncho Villa."  Anyone who remembers him please send me his name and where he might be today (if possible).
