My Name is Randy Waller, I served in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (the Blackhorse) in Vietnam and Cambodia.
I now belong to a veterans group called 11th ARMORED CAVALRY’S VETERANS OF VIETNAM AND CAMBODIA.
We hold a reunion each year in a different city and the 2007 reunion will be in Louisville Kentucky September 7-9 2007.
We are trying to make this reunion special. While in Vietnam the 11th ACR maintained a memorial to our fallen comrades at Blackhorse Basecamp, Xaun Loc, Vietnam. When we left Vietnam we took it with us and it was donated to the General George S Patton Museum at Fort Knox Kentucky near Louisville. We have commissioned some restoration work on the Memorial and plan to have a rededication ceremony to coincide with our 2007 reunion.  
We are attempting to locate the next of kin of as many of our fallen comrades as possible and do everything we can to get them to the rededication ceremony. This is no small task, 729 Blackhorse Troopers were killed in action.
We call this effort OPERATION EMBRACE.
